Anca Ralescu received the bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Bucharest, in 1972, and the MA and PhD degrees in mathematics from Indiana University, in 1981 and 1983, respectively. She is currently a professor of computer science in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems, University of Cincinnati. Her research interests are in the area of intelligent systems, including machine learning, knowledge representation, brain computer interface, and management of uncertainty using probabilistic and fuzzy sets approaches. She is a senior member of the IEEE.
